Custom apparel relabeling gives branded garments a cleaner, more professional finish. For printed labels, we apply your logo, sizing, and care information directly to the garment. For sewn-in labels, you may provide productoin-ready care labels for us to sew according to your specifications, or we can discuss screen printed label options for approved production orders. If your garments include existing care labels, we can remove them as part of the relabeling process.
Printed care labels are applied directly to the garment using a light ink deposit for a soft, durable finish. This method helps prevent excessive ink buildup and reduces the chance of bleed-through on the back of the fabric. For orders that require a sewn-in label instead of a direct print, we can also produce embroidered fabric fabrice labels that can be cut and sewn into the garment.
Please note that when screen printing clothing labels with dark ink on light-colored garments, the print may show through the back of the shirt. This can often be reduced by using lighter ink colors, heavier fabric blends, or both.
Many garment manufacturers now offer products with tear-away labels.
These labels can be easily removed so we can print your care label directly inside the garment.
If a sewn-in label needs to be removed, we snip the label as close to the neck tape as possible. In some cases, small remnants of the original label may remain, but they are generally minor, unnoticeable, and may fall out over time.
To help clients avoid the additional cost of hiring a tailor to unstitch collar seams and fully remove existing labels, we trim the original tags as close as possible before screen printing or sewing in custom clothing labels. When done correctly, trimming leaves a clean finish with little to no visible tag residue. When done poorly, the neckline can be compromised by accidentally cutting the stitching or, worse, cutting into the garment itself.
