IRON ON PATCH BACKING

Iron on patch backing is applied using a standard home iron with a temperature of 302F, for 5 - 8 seconds. Iron On backing is appropriate for ceremonial and casual wear, but should not be used for any type of active or sports wear. Traditionally, Iron on backing is used to carefully place the patch during the sewing process. Therefore, iron on backing is not the best option if you intend on incorporating it into active lifestyle and sportswear purposes.

HOOK & LOOP PATCH BACKING

Hook & Loop patch backings are popular across law enforcement and military apparel applications. The backing is made up of small hooks and loops similar to those found on Velcro Backing. This allows you to attach the patch and also ensure a secure application once applied.

VELCRO PATCH BACKING

Velcro patch backing uses a hook & loop design to apply your Embroidered label. Velcro is designed with a hook-and-sew seam which allows the Embroidered Patch to be sewn onto your garment. Velcro backing is a smart choice all the way around. Velcro backing makes your patches interhangeable from one garment/product to the next. If you don't want to sew or iron on your patches, you will definitely want to opt for a Velcro backing on your Custom Embroidered Patches.

HEAT SEAL PATCH BACKING

Heat Seal backing behaves similar to Iron on backing, when heated, it will create a bond between the Embroidered Patch and the fabric it is being applied to. These Embroidered Patches cannot be attached with a home iron. Instead, they need a certain amount of pressure, time, and increased temperatures in order to bond correctly. This process is achieved in-house by us using a heat press machine versus an iron.
